I have a saying, “Marketing rarely *fails*, it usually just... stops.”

Which means the thing to do is *avoid* stopping. Not just stopping because you get frustrated, or run out of ideas.

But also stopping because you run out of resources, like money or time.

See, marketing [rarely works on the first try](https://kelfordinc.com/your-marketing-wont-work/). It usually takes several attempts to get feedback *from the market* about what it values most and what it responds to in your marketing.

**But if you spend everything on one big attempt, or one big campaign, if it doesn’t work, you’ll have to stop.**

And *that’s* how marketing fails.

So, instead, lower the cost of being wrong. Don’t spend everything on one campaign, one push, one ad.

And don’t spend all your time preparing one big event or one big piece of content.

Because if it doesn’t work, you need to be able to try again.

And again.

And again.

**Until the feedback you get from the market points you toward the marketing that’s bound to work.**
