Once you start making marketing content, the next obvious step is to start optimizing and automating it, right?

*Right?*

No. No no no no no.

**The *next step* is to get *better* at it, not to give it away or give it up or take it off your hands.**

Content is for *you* first.

It makes your process better by making your process clearer. It makes your conversations better by making you more prepared for them. It makes your client work better by making your expertise more distinct and more focused.

And *those* are the things that get you more of your ideal clients.

Yes, people need to see your content to know they should work with you.

**But it’s the content’s effect on *you* that makes them buy.**

The more we make marketing content, the better we get at everything our content is *about*.

So don’t just immediately hand it over to GPT or an outside resource.

**For a while, for as long as you can, make it yourself.**
