Who are you actually for? — Kelford Labs Daily

On June 30th, I’m hosting a LIVE Q&A session and walkthrough of our Marketing Rangefinder framework.

Spend an hour with me and a few fellow entrepreneurs and expert advisors as we talk through how to know what to say in your marketing, your messages, and your content.

RSVP here, and feel free to send this to a friend or colleague who’s struggling with what to say.

When I ask my clients about their ideal clients, they can sometimes drift into the world of fantasy.

“Well, the dream client is...” or “One day, I want to work with...”

And that’s interesting information, and it helps us create goals around where they want to go, but it isn’t really what I’m looking for.

What I want to know is, who is your business for, now? As in, who is ideally suited to get the most value from your work?

Because your dream client, the one you fantasize about working with, is probably not your next best client. They’re probably not even the ideal client for the current version of your business. You need to work your way toward them.

So what you need to find are the clients who will lead you to them, by finding the ones that are ideal for you now.

So what kinds of clients do you work with most?

What kinds of clients do you like working with the most?

What kinds of clients get the most value from working with you?

And what kinds of clients tell others about you?

By creating marketing messages that align with what you’re best at, and who values that most, you’re able to get closer and closer to the clients you want to work with most.

But it happens one step at a time.

One message at a time.

One client at a time.

And it starts by focusing your messaging on the clients who’ll get the most value from your business now.

Kelford Inc. are content marketers for expert advisors. If you’re struggling with what to say and where to say it to attract your ideal clients, we’ll show you the way.
